Vital win for Newcastle today.

Another much needed, vital win today for Newcastle, beating Huddersfield 1-0 at home today. It really looked like Huddersfield would manage to sneak a point, but fortunately,Newcastle did manage to score, albeit in the 80th minute. I have to admit,it was sweet, sweet revenge,as I remembered how they beat us earlier in the season.Up yours,Huddersfield.Hahaha! A great win,and a step up away from the relegation scrap.Let's hope they can win their remaining games. +++ In the other footy matches,I was seriously annoyed at one of the Liverpool players:Manne, who quite clearly cheated twice today against Crystal Palace. He clearly dived in the first instance, and then deliberately handled the ball in his shameful second incident. He should have been sent off after he did the second cheat, but amazingly,he wasn't.The ref let him off, much to the fury of the Palace players, and yes, they were beaten today. At least I had some satisfaction in listening to the abuse he had to endure from t...

Brian's Page thoughts.

I'm now really interested in the video page alerts on Brian's Page. There's a lot of great information and pictures there, and although I'll still check out the strictly controlled Discussion page,I think I'll have more luck there. I also checked out Anubis' Page, but apart from the usual, moronic abuse thrown at the people there, there's not much happening. Good, there are some really nasty individuals there.

Lana Lang,by Miles Hendon.

I have written about the Lana Lang character, played by the very beautiful actress:Kristen Kreuk in Smallville. Of course,Sm Of course,Smallville is about Superman in his early years,as we see the young Clark Kent going through his college years, before he finally finds out who he really is. Lana Lang is his college sweetheart, and for a lot of the show,he does save her from severe distress,as well as many other, pretty actresses. Again, the only thing that irritated me in this show,is that the writers for Smallville, never put in a full treatment, bound and gagged scene for Kristen's character.Indeed,in the whole 11 years of the show,Kristen fully escaped any full treatment, damsel in distress scenes, unlike the other actresses in the show, like:Alison Mack and Erica Durance. A totally wasted opportunity. Fortunately,I did manage to get some consolation, when I asked Italian artist:Miles Hendon, who kindly did me this picture. It's supposed to be Kristen ...

Vital,but brilliant win.

Newcastle beat Southampton 3-0 today,in a much needed win against the relegation threat. They actually played very good, whilst Southampton were woeful. Not that I'm complaining of course,as I relish any win these days.I still remember Matt Le Tessier scoring those goals against us.I'm not going to say anymore on that, only to wish the Southampton lot,a very safe, but miserable journey back home.Hahahaha. On other news,it was pretty grim at West Ham today,as there was a riot with their 3-0 home loss against Burnley today. There were even a couple of West Ham fans who invaded the pitch.Mark Noble, one West Ham player roughly forced one such individual off.Sadly, his actions may land him in serious trouble, but I hope not.In fact,it was a dreadful, shocking day for West Ham and their decent fans.It was very ugly, although understandable. This is why the obscene amounts of money have totally spoilt the game for me. Also,Jamie Vardy of Leicester City didn't do himself any favours.He...

Yet another symbolic display.

Well,as expected,Newcastle were soundly beaten by Liverpool tonight in a 2-0 deficit. The team were practically toothless, and despite doing well defensively for 40 minutes,Liverpool's side had far more quality in it,and it eventually paid off. Not Rafa's fault again,as there's simply no money to buy better players. The proposed sale of the club to the Middle East consortium,is now in stalemate.I honestly don't know why.Perhaps Mike Ashley is holding out for more money(which wouldn't surprise me)who can say.... One thing I do know though:If Newcastle don't start winning their games, they'll end up back in the championship, and I suspect they'll stay there forever. All part of being a Newcastle United fan,you get more disappointment than feeling great.:( On the plus side,at least Everton got beat.Any defeat for this lot with Allerdyce in charge,is music to my ears.
